About Us

The Travis Heights-Fairview Park Historic District Project started in 2007. It is a committee of the South River City Citizens Neighborhood Association and operates as a Non-Profit Organization under the Austin Community Foundation.

We meet the third Tuesday of the month at Grace United Methodist Church, 205 E. Monroe St., from 7-9 p.m.

The proposed boundaries of the historic district are Riverside Drive (including the Norwood House and Edgecliff Terrace), S. Congress Avenue (rear sides of properties east of retail district), Live Oak Street and Kenwood Avenue.

The proposed historic district encompasses approximately 1,200 properties with about 70 percent deemed "Contributing." This is possibly one of the highest integrity districts in Austin.
